iOS app for tracking lifts and progressive overload. Goal-based tracking, weekly rep challenges, estimated 1RM for compound lifts. I found the problem in my own coaching practice, then did every part of it — product, design, build, ship. Mobile wasn't on my resume before this.

    I got certified, took on clients, sold, delivered and retained — then built the software the practice needed and shipped it to the App Store. Engineering alongside the coaching, not instead of it.

    Certified personal training, online and in person. Under 10 clients — a small business, run entirely by me: the brand, the landing page, the CASL-compliant email capture, the incorporation, the tax filing. Also founded No Pain Run Club, a Vancouver run club.

  2. Career break

    Seven months off after two and a half years running three products in parallel. I used it to reset, get certified as a personal trainer, and start a business — which turned out to teach me more about clients than any engineering job had.

    A product studio that built its own ideas and spun the good ones out into companies. I worked across all three spinouts concurrently — the same person context-switching between three products in the same week — and ran the studio's R&D function. Built a wallet-based auth system with email capture.

    I was regularly in the room with partners, vendors and users — not receiving requirements secondhand from a PM. I left in September 2024 by choice.

    Architected automated permission management across a third-party platform, driven by verified ownership: an ownership check triggering a role change for a community of real people, running unattended. Cut infrastructure cost by 90%. Built internal tools that generate unique characters and traits by rarity.

    Built an embeddable widget any collection could drop into its own site to show what an asset owns — a product for other builders, not end users. Developed and managed the web app, and worked on the account-abstraction layer underneath it.

    Software Developer

    Digital product agency work for enterprise clients — multi-vendor systems integration on an agency clock. The closest thing on my record to the solutions-engineering work I want more of.

    Retail systems integration
    • Designed and implemented inventory sync between an SAP inventory master, an ecommerce site and an OMS platform — 5-minute inventory updates across all three systems.
    • Built a payment adapter handling ecommerce orders imported into the OMS: capture, revoke and refund events.
    • Built an integration point that ingested 30,000+ historical orders from XML over SFTP.
    • Used Python to convert incoming Salesforce sales-order and inventory data from XML into JSON.
    • Consumed OMS webhooks to export inventory, order and finance data to the client's other services.
    • Refactored the codebase for dependency injection so it could be unit tested; mentored and onboarded new team members.

    • Project management web app — features in React + Redux, including a search/filter pattern that improved performance and reusability.
    • Pharmacy prescription ordering app — .NET Razor pages; designed the SASS architecture and implemented pixel-perfect UI.

How I got here

A business grad who learned to build.

Eight years of engineering — enterprise systems integration, product work, and a web3 studio where I shipped three products at once and spent as much time with partners and users as with code. Left on my own terms, then went and ran a real business: got certified, took on clients, sold, delivered, retained. Built and shipped an iOS app on the side. Now bringing both halves back together — building deterministic automation for businesses that need things to actually work.

The unifying thread is making systems talk to each other reliably. SAP to ecommerce to OMS at Myplanet. Ownership to permissions at Stapleverse. Off-chain transactions to on-chain accounts at PERMA. Wearables and workout data at Echo Trainer. That's one career, not four.
